Best Penang cuisine in PJ ~ Ai Jiak, Seapark PJ

Is it the best Penang Nyonya food in PJ?
Well, I think it is.

Ai Jiak Penang Food serves the most flavorful Jiu Hu Char I've  ever had, good even without the sambal and just right when wrapped in a lettuce leaf. Salty and sweet with a strong flavor of dried squid, the stir fried jicama had been cooked long enough to soak up all the delicious seasoning.

My favorite here is the Penang Chee Cheong Fun with har gou and crunchy shallots. It just hits the right spots and reminds me so much of Penang.

The char kuey teow was available one night I was there for dinner but usually requires advance booking. The tiny bit of crab meat on the top was dry and tasteless but the rest of the dish had fragrant wok hei and was pretty good.

The curry kapitan had a thick flavorful rich sauce with only chicken thigh and drumstick parts in the dish. I couldn't resist from eating the sauce like a soup. This dish would be what's called a 'rice thief'.

Lunch sets at Ai Jiak are very value for money as you get bits of their signature dishes - a main dish of your choice, rice and on the side some jiu hu char, lobak and fruits.
