A new char chan teng has joined the Megah Rise Mall food lineup! During my visit, it had been barely been a month since their opening there and even though service is swift, their table queueing system is not clear and straightforward, best ask the servers for instructions.
My fried rice with pork chop doesn't look like much but every part of it was tasty. Well marinated pork chop, egg fried rice with wok hei and the sad looking fried egg seemed to have been fried on the same vessel as other tasty items so it took on savory flavors.
I rarely come across baked char siew buns, especially those in the polo bun style. Kheng Wah's was delicious with a crunchy top and a soft fluffy interior. No regrets ordering this!
Cham is my go-to at char chan tengs and the tea here had a slight floral flavor that lifted and lightened the flavors of the usually kaw and intense Cham.
